[It takes a bit, before Emet-Selch returns to Venat's treehouse, after that first invitation. Not long, certainly, or not by his standards, but long enough to suggest that he had wanted a bit of time.

Still, return he does, sure as ever - only when he does so, he is not in his borrowed form. No, instead he arrives as himself, and that alone speaks to the fact that something of import must have happened in his absence. Though what it is, Venat might well have ask herself. For now, he simply stands at the base of her treehouse, waiting to see if she will notice his arrival (he has hardly been stealthy, with his portals) or if he will need to announce his presence.]

[It's not the first time Emet-Selch has been dragged into some quest or another. It will, to be quite honest, not be the last time he is. But that hardly means that he is any less likely to complain about it, for all that he has yet to actually leave.]

I will hardly deny that the summer segment is hardly the place for a creature of winter. But surely there would be others willing to assist?

[He knows there is no real shortage of heroic types from their world alone, after all.]
